I just read through your last few posts, and you are definitely not alone in many of these things your are dealing with. We've only had S for 7 weeks, and some days can be a little more challenging. When I say "no," he giggles and thinks it is funny. We've started "time-in's" where we make him sit on our laps turned away from us for 1 minute after he bites or tries to do something that could eventually hurt him. I think it might be working but it is kind of soon to tell. I also think it is extremely hard to be a first time parent to a child who is already at least one year old-they are on the go, always squirmy, have an opinion about food, have developed sleep habits (good or bad), and have been in a different situation that was out of ours and their control for at least a year. I think that gives us quite a challenge to start with in the first place as we try to get to know them and vice versa. It is obvious you love your son very much, and I'm sure he can feel that just by the way he desires to be with you all of the time. I hope things get better and that you have a way of taking a break, too, just to get rejuvenated and rested. Thanks for sharing your heart and being honest. By the way, I hope that the other tests come back well about his belly.
We were married on Valentine's Day 2003 and attempted to start our family in 2004. After several years of infertility, tests and procedures, we turned to adoption. In February 2008, we brought home the most amazing and beautiful little boy from Russia. He has kept us VERY busy over the past few years and after a few bumps in the road, we have now started the journey to adopt #2 from Ukraine.
